Qiji @ Funan DigitaLife Mall

Qiji started in the 1980s selling popiah and other stuffs at Funan Centre food court. Then it moved to Shaw Leisure Gallery in the 90s before returning to Funan and now it has expanded to many Qiji cafes all over Singapore.

From the 1980s till now 2010, their signature dish is still the popiah. And it is not difficult to see why. Soft chewey handmade popiah skin is used to wrap the tender juicy popiah turnips, eggs, crispy bits, minced garlic, chilli and sweet sauce (and perhaps a few more other ingredients).

However, my favourite popiah is still the one at Lavendar Food Square along Jalan Besar Road.

Also had crispy fried chicken wing. It's okay, average. Nothing spectacular about the wings here.

Hi, found you on Traveller.

About Qiji, they actually have pretty amazing Nasi Lemak. Very unexpected, as I thought they are just some new commercialized eatery on the market.

They still stick to the good price, big portion ways of the old. And I actually go there for Nasi Lemak fix because of the convenience. May not be the best, but it's a reliable good taste, despite sooo many cafes all over. =)

Like how they sell homemade drinks as well. All these, plus air-con in the sweltering heat.
